The Torrent Walk is a path up the side of the valley near Dolserau Hall. The path is next to a stream, how torrential it is obviously depends on how much rain there has been.
The leaders usually led a stroll up the torrent for a introductory walk on the first evening.
When self guided I usually do a walk, from the house, up torrent walk across the A470 and then over a higher level walk and down into Dolgellau then you can go slightly up on the other side of the valley back to the house. This avoids the dangerous and horrible direct route, along the road, between Dolgellau and Dolserau Hall.
Leave Dolserau Hall from the drive and turn right along the lane. At Rose Cottage cross the bridge over the stream and turn left to walk up the right hand side of the stream (there is also a path shown on the left of the stream although I have not tried that).
There is a foot bridge near the top of the torrent but I did not cross it for this walk:
At the top of the Torrent turn right along a small road (B4416). Turn left onto a footpath and cross the A470. Walk along a lane on the other side to Tabor

I got very lost here. Its easy to miss where the path crosses a stone wall.

Eventually walk down to Dolgellau through a housing estate:
Cross the river at Dolgellau and right along Ffordd Bala. Then after Eurospar and before the library take a small road to the left to avoid walking back to the A494. Then keep to the left to avoid walking too far up the hill.
